The Latest…
March 29, 2026
We enjoyed spending most of March in Guadeloupe and had so much fun sharing the boat with family the last few weeks. Yesterday, our grandkids (and Tyler, Tanner, Aunt Bailey, and Uncle Willis) left, and the boat sure is quiet without them. After an afternoon of laundry yesterday, we pulled up anchor in Bouillante this morning, said goodbye to Guadeloupe, and we’re headed to Martinique for the next few weeks. This marks the beginning of our journey south. Our plan is to leave the boat in Grenada in June for hurricane season, so we’ll spend these last few months exploring the windward islands from Martinique to Grenada.

About Us
We both lost our amazing spouses during mid-life. We found one another seeking support from others who had a similar experience and married in August 2021. We talked about dreams for our second half together, and sailing was part of the dream. We were fortunate to retire early and purchased Second Half, a 2022 Leopard 45 Sailing Catamaran, in November 2023. After two great winter seasons in the Bahamas, we’re heading to the Eastern Caribbean for Winter 2026 and will spend the season sailing along the islands between Antigua and Grenada.
