We had an amazing week exploring Dominica with 34 other boats as part of the 2026 Salty Dawg Dominica Rendezvous. Our current plan is to hang out in Dominica for the rest of February and keep exploring. We have loved getting to know the “Nature Island of the Caribbean” and can’t wait to see more of its amazing sights.

About Us
We both lost our amazing spouses during mid-life. We found one another seeking support from others who had a similar experience and married in August 2021. We talked about dreams for our second half together, and sailing was part of the dream. We were fortunate to retire early and purchased Second Half, a 2022 Leopard 45 Sailing Catamaran, in November 2023. After two great winter seasons in the Bahamas, we’re heading to the Eastern Caribbean for Winter 2026 and will spend the season sailing along the islands between Antigua and Grenada.
